Brief History Surrealism: Surrealism derived from the publication of Andre Breton's "Manifesto of Surrealism. Surrealism is defined as something to express, verbally or in writing, the true function of thought. Surrealism has also been defined as a view of reality and desire to open the minds view of art. Poets such a Tristan Tzara, Luis Aragon and Rene Crevel created spaces for growing surrealist ideas surrealism had run its course by the end of WWI, by then it had reached many corners of the Earth.
