Brief History Of The Imagist Movement:
Imagism began in the early 20th century with English and American poets writing free verse and were devoted to the "clarity of expression through the use of precise visual images". People who were involved in the movement were Ezra Pound, F.S.Flint, D.H Lawrence, and John Gould Fletcher. Although imagist poets wrote in reaction to abstract poets, that's is not what confined them as imagist. Imagist poetry was absolutely clear thinking, and referring to specifics. The imagist poetry movement had faded out by 1917 but had influence the free verse poets of the 20th century.
